This Order specifies the circumstances in which, and the kinds and amounts of insurance that a builder is required to be covered by before carrying out domestic building work under a major domestic building contract.
It specifies the insurance that a person who constructs a building and to whom section 137B of the Building Act 1993 applies, is required to be covered by before entering into a contract to sell that building.
