This document contains a summary of the terms of cover set out in legislation for the Victorian First Resort Home Warranty Scheme (Home Warranty) for domestic building work under a Notice of Cover issued on or after 14 October 2026.
The Summary of Cover sets out the terms, conditions, benefits, limitations and exclusions that apply under Home Warranty under legislation. It should be read together with the Notice of Cover issued for the residential building work, which contains information specific to the project.
Homeowners, subsequent owners, builders and other interested parties should refer to both documents to understand how Home Warranty operates and the assistance that may be available under Home Warranty.
