This document establishes the official Victorian Domestic Building Insurance (DBI) policy wording tailored specifically for owner-builders with a Certificate of Insurance issued between 31 May 2010 and 30 September 2011. It defines the unique consumer protection rights, liability caps, and standard exclusions that apply to subsequent purchasers of owner-built properties if the owner-builder dies, disappears, or becomes insolvent.
