The Victorian Building Authority’s Proactive Inspections Program (PIP) Activity Report for Q4 (April to June 2023) for the financial year 2022 to 2023 outlines compliance monitoring of building and plumbing work across Victoria. During the quarter, the VBA conducted 1,610 inspections across 52 municipalities, identifying compliance risks in 39% of sites inspected. The report highlights common building and plumbing non-compliances, rectification actions taken by practitioners, enforcement activities, and case studies demonstrating how early intervention helps protect consumers and improve safety, quality and compliance across the construction industry.
