The Victorian Building Authority’s Proactive Inspections Program (PIP) Activity Report for Q3 2022 to 2023 provides an overview of building and plumbing compliance monitoring across Victoria. During the quarter, the VBA conducted 1,887 inspections across 56 municipalities, identifying compliance risks in 40% of sites inspected. The report highlights common building and plumbing non-compliances, enforcement and rectification activities, and case studies showcasing the value of early intervention in protecting consumers and improving construction quality and safety.
