The BPC's online building practitioner exams in Victoria are transitioning to a single, fully online assessment (by June 2026), replacing interviews and plan-based tests, with remote proctoring, strict rules, and approved materials.
Detached building permits are unresolved permits where a building surveyor can no longer complete their role, leaving properties without a Certificate of Final Inspection or Occupancy Permit and potentially causing legal, financial and safety risks.
