Building product accreditations granted by the Building Regulations Advisory Committee for the purposes of the Building Act 1993 (Vic) and the Building Regulations prior to January 2019.

The Building Regulations Advisory Committee (BRAC) is an independent statutory body established under section 210 of the Building Act 1993 (the Act).

BRAC members are appointed by the Minister for Housing and Building for their expertise. You can download the BRAC Committee Charter and Terms of Reference.
Over the 2024/25 financial year, 8 BRAC meetings were convened in addition to monthly sub-committee meetings and project working group meetings.
The BRAC reviewed and considered applications for building product accreditations and provided valuable feedback to the Minister for Housing and Building on policy development, draft regulations and matters relating to the building industry.
