How to complete your builder application

Apply for your registration online

You can complete your application online by logging into the BPC Portal, provided it's for one of the following categories:

  • Building Inspector
  • Building Surveyor
  • Commercial Builder
  • Demolisher
  • Domestic Builder

Online registration is not yet available for:

  • Building Designer
  • Erector or Supervisor of Temporary Structures
  • Project Manager
  • Quantity Surveyor

1. Log in to BPC

To get started, you need to log in to BPC. If you haven't logged in before, you'll need to create an account by following the instructions on the login page.

2. Go to registration and licensing

Once you're logged in, go to the Registration and Licensing page by:

  • selecting 'Registration and Licensing' on the Welcome page
    or
  • selecting 'Registration and Licensing' then 'Your registration and licences' from the menu.

You can start a new application by selecting 'Apply for a new registration or licence'.

On the following screen, you can select the type of registration you are applying for, then select Start New Application.

Note: If you already have registrations, you can view them when you enter the Registration and Licensing screen.

3. Complete your registration application

Complete the application form by working through each section. The summary page shows each section of the form, and will show completed sections with a green tick. When all sections have a green tick, you can submit your application.

Your work will be saved automatically. You can find your draft application at any time on the Registration and Licensing page.
